Default The Utah Coal Lockup - $1 Trillion Dollars

99% of people probably don't even know about this. I only became aware of it several years ago.

Read this for yourself and ask what the writer does:

Why?

The Kaiparowitz Plateau is one of three sites in the WORLD containing low-polluting coal of such a quantity. It doesn't make any sense.

And here we sit today, ever dependent upon foreign countries for our own energy. And the same politicians who bitch constantly about coal pollution turn a blind eye to what happened almost 12 years ago during a Clinton campaign stop.

In an adjacent state.

Why do I call them obstructionists? Here's one of the greatest examples in black and white:

The Utah Coal Lockup: A trillion dollar Lippo payoff?

ENN: Democratic candidates play up "clean coal"

Quote:
In a bid to draw voters ahead of Democratic primaries in West Virginia on Tuesday and Kentucky on May 20, both candidates are playing up the ascendant role of commercially untested and so far economically nonviable ways of converting America's plentiful coal supplies into electricity without spewing massive quantities of heat-trapping greenhouse gases.

"We need some big investments right now in figuring out how to capture and store carbon dioxide from coal," Clinton told a rally in the rural town of Clear Fork on Monday.
No, Senator. We need to reverse the Executive Order signed by your husband 12 years ago. We had 7 billion tons of clean-burning coal in our grasp, when your husband -- while a state away on a campaign stop, no less -- inexplicably declared the area a national monument: the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, formerly known as the Kaiparowitz Plateau.

Did I mention this is the LARGEST coal field in the country?

This incident will not fly under the radar forever. It's one of the worst decisions made by a President in American History.

Forget Monica Lewinsky. For myself, this will forever be Bill Clinton's legacy. He put himself before the American people.

This wasn't about catering to environmentalism, it was about campaign money.
