gack !!! more lies reaching out to the children of the world. Man oh man, that just infuriates me, now we're teaching kids lies, just like how adolf hitler told lies about the jewish people, we still have pockets of hate everywhere, and it is not reversible.
This green propaganda must stop, or else the future of all nations is at risk. |

Let kids be kids. They shouldn't care about this nonsense anyways, even if global warming actually were happening. But this is what we get from the "Let's listen to the children" hippie crowd. Hell, tell the kids to shut up or go out and play for a while. I'll be damned if I'm going to take my kids' advice on matters that are far beyond their comprehension. It's my responsibility to teach them, not the other way around. And I'm going to teach my own about this.....when they're old enough. But if any teacher starts shoving this crap down their throats any earlier than that, then they're going to be dealing with me. I'll send her to school with a REAL historical temperature graph for show-and-tell. You know, if the media just did its job we wouldn't be in this mess.

you know what AE ? I think (I really hope i'm wrong) this maybe a really challenging uphill battle, but the long journey begins with the first step.
a coworker and myself we went for a walk around campus and we see another person who works in our office. She brought in her grandson (he is just doodling on a white board). they go out for a walk too and we see them coming towards us. well, the kid is picking up trash and says "i'm helping to clean up the earth." And her grandmom says "someone has to do it." I really wanted to say something non environmental but decided to keep my mouth shut. jeez, the way people are bringing up their kids now (in relation to environmentalism) I am worried for the next generation. They will know nothing of DDT, asbestos, oil, and all the good stuff that keeps technology going and keeps us safe. |

You're not the only one who's worried. A few years ago I read that 20% of American high school students can't even find the US on a globe. It goes far beyond just global warming. A lot of these kids get out of high school without being taught half of what I was taught. They're just being pushed through the system.
Which might explain why so many are just sucking this stuff up as gospel. I know we don't talk as much about the science here as the environmentalist motives & costs of going green, but the very basics of the AGW theory violate common sense. There are holes in it you could drive an 18-wheeler through. And the fact that the media is ignoring every fact to the contrary is a dead giveaway that we're right. Meanwhile, half a world away, people are dying of malaria when they don't have to. People are using dung to cook their food when don't have to. People are actually destroying the environment (don't tell that to tree huggers) by cutting down trees to keep warm when they don't have to. People are living in huts without electricity when they don't have to. Has it reached the level of "epidemic" yet? We're far beyond that point. There are already millions dead in the rear-view mirror, but few have even bothered to look at the trail of devastation environmentalism has left behind in its wake. Some days I wake up & wonder how in the world we got to this point. While it's encouraging to see others taking to the internet & letting their voices be heard on this -- and the skeptics' presence has exploded on the internet in the last two years -- at the same time, it's discouraging that it took this long. I think we've taken the first step, but they're only going to get more difficult as we go forward. There's going to be a lot of resistance we're going to have to push our way through, and the big one is forcing the media to report the other side of the story.

You've made alot of good points AE.
You know what I find amazing, is if you disspell these environmental beliefs, the first thing people ask is proof. Yet on the news when you see the anchor state global warming is causing this and that, without a shred of proof, people take that as the gospel. I just don't get it. When i see greenies influencing kids (which as you know are very easily influenced, and that is why I think the greenies are targetting them), I can only shake my head in disbelief. Like the link you posted about the global warming book, that is a bunch of crock but kids reading it won't know what the real truth is and will actually believe that is the truth. It is also very sad when grown ups, who should know better, are taking these green claims at face value and teaching kids the lies of environmentalists. I've also noticed when I search for proof against environmental myths I've seen alot of people resentful of the truth. This issue is a very touchy and sensitive topic. Greenies will actually engage in pi.ssing contests on the web to state that global warming is bad, how they like to breath, but provide not one shred of convincing evidence to back up their beliefs. I'm actually at the point when someone proclaims their 'greeness' i do get offended. To me it is the same thing as someone proclaiming their allegiance to nazism. But in the meantime, it is up to us to fight the good fight against these damn hippies. ![]() |
