I don't know how I missed this post. I'll have to blame it on lack of sleep over the past 6 weeks.

There's one line in this I really loved:

Quote:
Fourth, we face no current threat of having Christianity imposed on us by petty tyrants; the same can not be said of environmentalism. My county government never tried to send me a New Testament, but it did send me a recycling bin.

I throughly enjoyed reading this. I have always been one to piss those who question supply side economics by making the comparison to biology. After all a lot of the math used in economics and biology are interchangable. I got to change from a course in Biostatistics taught by a completely boring biology prof in a classroom where ether is used to stun fruit flies and instead took a business statistics course taught by a funny Italian guy.

I get quite a few bad looks from libs when I tell them that if they can believe that nature doesn't require a guiding hand (e.g. God) then why do they have so much trouble believing that a free market doesn't require a guiding hand (regulations). About the best they ever come up with is "Uh, 'cause they're not the same thing."

Um, yes they are.
