Great. Just wait 'til these stupid CFL's start hitting the landfills. Wonder what they'll blame then?

I've also been thinking about those cfls, unless you leave the light bulb turned on for 24/7, you probablly won't see much of a savings on your electricity bill at all. So the high cost of those cfls I'm not so sure if they're even worth it anymore. Plus they contain mercury, so chucking them out into the garbage is hazardous. I'll admit, they are much brighter than incandescents, but seeing how we're conscious about leaving lights turned on, I don't think i'll ever buy another cfl unless i'm forced to. |

I just noticed yesterday that I overlooked 2 CFL's in my kitchen that I need to get rid of....somehow...guess I'll take them back to Lowe's and let them deal with them.
When I dimmed the lights, two of the bulbs in the fixture didn't dim. They were still bright. Guess CFL's don't work that way, but I never knew.

We have some cfl downstairs in the laundry room area, and I admit it is much brighter vs. the 100w incandescents that was in there. but from now on, i'm gonna push hard for regular incandescents rather than cfls. |
