Default A Trip Down Memory Lane

Back in 2003, I took my first real step into cyberspace with my first website: anti-environmental.com. While clearing out some old files tonight, I stumbled upon some old archives.

It's amazing how far my web design skills have come since then. I primarily relied upon images, which didn't suit the search engines very well -- which is why they never indexed me in the beginning. They can't read images. Who knew? It was all new to me.

Here are some old screenshots just for old time's sake (disregard the misspelled words -- this shot must have been during the initial design phase).

The home page, which wouldn't have been complete without a mouse-drawn Mother Nature and a tree-hugger:

Back then, you had to fill in your own margins with whatever you could make yourself. So I made my own little "ads."

A friend of mine designed this one for one of the page margins. I thought it was hilarious.

While a friend of mine designed this image, I was rather proud of myself for coming up with the slogan.

Eventually, I added a caption to this one: "Tree huggers? No problem. Contact Your Local Unemployment Office." I drew this by "hand," or mouse, as it were.

If I ever heard of an impending environmental protest site, I would always post this on the home page:

Every website needs a privacy policy...

And the site would not have been complete without a guide on how to spot an environmentalist.

hey, those are good AE !

I remember joining up when you were anti-environmental.com, and I also remember the transition to theglobalwarmingskeptics.com

I really like some of your drawings, especially the one about the chainsaw !! If you don't mind, i'm gonna print it out and hang it off my desk at work. People here on campus have made an offensive political statement : Please consider the environment before printing this email , so I'm gonna make my own political statement with that pic.

Oh, I saw this on a t-shirt :

Tree hugging is fine as long as you're climbing up to your deer stand.
