As Earth's climate has warmed in the past century, a combination of lower snowfall amounts and warmer springs has caused the snow to melt earlier. For many wildflowers, an earlier snowmelt spurs an earlier growing season.

Once the snow is gone, flowers form buds and get ready to bloom. But cold air masses can still move through the region at night, with frosts occurring as late as June.

So....warmer springs have caused the snow to melt earlier, but frosts have occurred as late as June.

And it's all due to global warming.

I can see the next headline, "allergy sufferers will be put thru hell sooner because of global warming; due to the fact that spring comes earlier, the flowers will blossom sooner and allergy sufferers will be reacting like crazy. To stop allergy sufferers from going thru hell, we must stop global warming."

Sadly, I don't think you're stretching it there, mac. I wouldn't be surprised at all to read that one in the near future.

isn't it amazing how environmentalists always links something (ie. the wildflowers, melting glaciers, ...) to global warming or find ways to link it to global warming, regardless of how ridiculous it is ?

They'll make up anything, stretch anything.....just to make it fit their scare tactics. I've read plenty over the years.

Although there was one last year that went WAY beyond anything I've ever heard. I think the guy was a politician up in Canada, as I remember.

At any rate, he demanded that the US government turn over all alien technology recovered at UFO crash sites so it could be used to combat global warming.

It was the craziest thing I've ever read on this subject.

it really is heartbreaking to see people out there revolve their entire life to the environment. You know what, if the environment is that bad on earth for these environmentalists, there are other planets in our solar system waiting to be inhabited ...
